Why in the hell wouldn't oceanfront folks go for it ??? guarantee's their house gonna be there for at least another 5 years . And yes I agree , if oceanfront homes are lost the homeowners should be held accountable in cleanup . I wouldn't say it's necessarily they don't care about costs it's the big picture of how many times can they fix the beach road and surrounding area's due to flooding and erosion .
Another inlet cut through right there would be devastating to the islands .
