Patton and MacArthur were lightning rods for different reasons, were they not? No-one ever called Patton "Dugout George".
And Mr. "War is Hell" was one reason why "War is Hell". As a general he was as over-rated as "Dugout Doug". About cost Grant the battle of Shiloh and did squat at Missionary Ridge. Sheridan was Grant's warhorse both in the West and East. Grant turned him loose in the East. 'Course, if Jackson had been alive at Gettysburg, would have made no difference. War would have been over before Sheridan ever came East.
And how do like that Iran deal? Will it be beneficial to surf fishing on the Banks?
