I have not fished the Currituck Sound in many many years and the last time I fished it catfish and bass were the top of the catching list. You may try around the Older Manteo Bridge I have had success around that area and know of others who have also. I love to go there and fish for stripers. Maybe King or dude can comment on the Currituck better than I for I am mainly more of a southern Outer banks fishing gal. Take care, happy fishing and Peace. Debbie
