Lure Colors

I hadn't tried that Gotcha. My must have's for the pier would be the red head white body, gold, solid fluorescent green body, fluorescent green head white body, normally the red head is better but it's been the lure to have before. I've learned to have extras because the pier will sell out of a color when you need it.

Mirrolures are good surf lures in October, November, December for big trout, stripers, puppy drum. My favorites are the 808 black / gold / orange, Purple Demon, black or green back on silver / white, red head on silver / white and silver with fluorescent colors. I like to use them when it's not rough and windy.

Those big fish can be hard to land on trout rods. I hooked one up close right at the beach on a Mirrolure that had a tail the size of a dinner plate come out the water and I couldn't do nothing with it.
