I don't know for sure could be bluefish, puppy drum, striper, trout, flounder, the cobia have been around at the piers but not biting. The finger mullet should be moving out of the inlet into the surf by then and you might want to bring your cast net. The tackle shops might have finger mullet for bait. Size 2 hooks, either alive or dead whole finger mullet, cut up and I like to use fillets. The fish can be picky when there is a lot of baitfish in the water. If the surf is rough from a storm offshore you might want to try the catwalk or sound at Oregon Inlet like at the marina or lighthouse.
