I'd try a red head / white body or fluorescent green Gotcha on the end of one of the piers early morning or evening for the bluefish. Use a 12" to 18" - 30 pound mono leader on the Gotcha. Take 20 casts if nothing is happening wait a little while and do again.

Popular crabbing spots are the pay to use pier at Fishing Unlimited on the Nags Head Causeway which might be the best place. The public pier by the big bridge on the causeway, turn down the road across from Pirate's Cove Marina and follow the road back around to under the bridge. In Kill Devil Hills there's the second little bridge in Colington, a lot of crabs there but tend to be small size I'd try the first little bridge for bigger crabs. Turn on Ocean Bay Blvd. the stoplight at the south side of the Wright Brothers Monument and follow the road into Colington Road and go back a ways. In Kitty Hawk try at the Dock Of The Bay Marina.
