The fact that she was attacked in 18 inches of water is an eye opener. I wonder if the water was dirty.

I remember a long time ago of a similar incident with big Bluefish in the surf. I don't remember where but I think it was in Florida. The water was very dirty and suddenly swimmers found themselves in the middle of a blitz. As people ran out of the water, the fish were biting at flashes of legs and feet as they passed. Several people were injured - some severely.

I'm glad to hear that the little girl is okay. The newspaper article quoted her as saying "I don't like sharks anymore - only dolphins". Is sounds like she was a real trooper during the incident.
