Used to fish Bob Hall Pier on Padre Island Texas many years ago. From the end of the pier you could always see 10 or more sharks in the surf, Sand Tigers, Hammerheads 6-12' long. Lots of people swimming in the surf. Never saw an attack. I really don't think humans are in their foodchain. Only happens when the water is murkey and they mistake us for something else.Biggest one I ever saw caught on the pier was a 12' hammerhead.
