Thanks for the advice. I was afraid that I was going to be told that if anything was to be caught at the point I would have to use a bigbutt shark rig with a slab of meat on the end of it. I'll take a spool of 60lb braid and a couple of #10 hooks and give it a try if nothing else is going on.If anybody has a suggestion on that backup plan let me know.My plan as of now is to use the pompano rigs around the point and work my way east on south beach to catch stuff we can eat. Pompano is my mission on this trip but trout or drum would be great.This will be the first time that I'm going to discipline myself to read the beach and fish the wash instead of loading up and casting have way to France.Cape Fear will be a morning or two with blue fish rigs baited with mullet. Maybe a drum will beat a blue to it. The Yorktown at the Maritime Museum is another story that I would be glad to share with you guys when my brother and I took him there,.....or did he take us there?
