Been going on all fall and winter. Most seem reported on northern Hatteras.

Time was you could leave your cottage doors unlocked w/o a worry. Sad, but that's gone forever like a lot of beach life. While grandkids don't have the memories, the kids do, and love to show pics and videos and reminisce how it was on the Northern beaches when they were young. There was the produce truck, horses all over the place, Winks and Wee Winks for groceries, no TV or phones in most cottages, blow up canvas rafts, stargazin (no one left all inside and outside lights on all nite), to name a few... and most visitors had manners, and made sure their kids behaved responsibly.

Back to the breakins.

Now you gotta wonder a bit as to the mentality of these master thiefs if they're liftin Sylvania and Insignia flat screens. Looks like they're sure not the swiftest crooks. Ever wonder what a "hot" Sylvania in a trunk goes for these days??

Since local law can't seem to catch the perps, maybe King needs to form a co-ed vigilante group for nite patrols:):)
