Maybe the method is wrong.Not an expert, but maybe longline fishing would be better.Netting, kills fish because of the crush in the net when bringing them in.Long lineing, with circle hooks would give the fish a chance.I know it would be a financial burden for the com. guys to switch over, but if it saves the fishery it could be worth it in the long run.Have caught many stripers chumming with floating bait, it should work on a long line.
