King, Im not sure we are talking about the same fish. I catch needle fish all the time in the inlet. These are freshwater Gar (see link- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longnose_gar) Back home in Texas we catch them all the time by Bow fishing in fresh water rivers. These are the needle fish that I know (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Needlefish) maybe they call them by a diffrent name here. I just saw another one this morning here at the Coast Guard Station. It is really strange how they just hang out on top of the water. Thanks King.
