That's what ya get when ya stay up there in the zoo.
Water temps in Hatteras stay warm all summer.
It's called updwelling.......S/W wind pushes the top layer of water out and in doing so it pulls the cold water up from the bottom.I have watched waters temps go from 75 degrees to 60 degrees in 4 hours up there with a hard S/W wind
It can get kinda nipplely in a hurry!!!
