The ocean is roughed up but not coming up on the beach, thunderstorms this afternoon and evening from a front. I know he won't listen but I'll say it anyway, if he trys the biggest wave run backs "the biggest muddy spots" around or in the drop off at the beach with the fake bloodworms or sand fleas he might catch some sea mullet or maybe some pompano. I'd get the kids to find some sand fleas with eggs or the soft shells would be even better. That's like candy to the fish. I'd use small Eagle Claw already snelled size 5 hooks or size 4 if the sea mullet are running big on a regular double hook bottom rig. You could also get a pompano rig at Hatteras Jack, same bait for the pompano. As for eating sea mullet and pompano they are better than tuna.
