The snot is gone. A little eel grass in the water at Kitty Hawk, it's not bad might be worst around the inlets. The ocean was kind of calm, warm and very clear yesterday, you could see the outer bar under the water from the beach. Some red jellyfish were in the surf. I'm not sure if they were the stinging kind I was trying to avoid them while wading probably why not a lot of people were swimming.

I threw some lures in the middle of the day and didn't get anything but I was mostly trying out some new Mirrolures. A few people were bottom fishing throwing way out and I didn't see them catching anything. I heard one of the swimmers beside me yell there was fish in the water. He just got in and was standing on the ledge right behind the drop off at the beach, could have been sea mullet.

I think after dark or piling fishing during the day at the piers for triggers or sheepshead might be the best way to go with the water being so clear. Offshore the mixed size dolphin fishing was real good Saturday, 45 miles out from Oregon Inlet.
