By the Roanoke Bridge, do you mean the one on the causeway between Nags Head and Manteo? If your fishing the pier under that bridge 12 lb or so will do.Never saw any monsters or even mini monsters there. Can have some fun catching the small stuff.Better off trying Little Bridge, just up the road. Don't need anything heavy there either. but might catch a nice trout or puppy.If fishing aroud the sound you don't need big tackle.Takes the fun out of it.My weapon of choice is a 7' med rod and a 4000 series spinning reel. I use 10-17lb spiderline.Wishing you a great week and tight lines.
