The marina right on the north side of bridge at Oregon Inlet is a popular spot for wading. Wear some old tennis shoes because of crabs. I'd try flounder fishing there, you can get flounder rigs at the tackle shops and move around throwing the rig out with some cut bait then very slowly reel it back.
