The motel prices change depending on the time of year. If your coming in at Nags Head I'd try the NPS Oregon Inlet Campground, you can't camp on the beach. You can walk over and fish at Coquina Beach near the lighthouse or the last parking area on the beach road in South Nags Head which would probably be less crowded. You can fish the catwalk, go across the bridge over Oregon Inlet and there's a parking lot by the bridge for it.

There's 2 tackle shops on the Nags Head / Manteo causeway, Fishing Unlimited and Whalebone Tackle. The marina at Oregon Inlet has a store that sells tackle and bait. If your looking for a place to eat Sam & Omies restaurant is good it's on the beach road near the causeway across from Jennette's Pier.

Jennette's is being rebuilt. Outer Banks Pier in South Nags Head is open if you want to try a pier. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center has a headboat called the Miss Oregon Inlet that's a good deal.
