It's kind of its own system. It would make a good batter for a pineapple upside down cake.

I put that first because it was my favorite, the original was a Lemon Supreme with vanilla.

The usual way is started with the topping cooked under the batter in the bottom of the pan.

Anyway that is an interesting idea, I've been fixing a hamburgers and gravy in pan is close.
