Sometimes I like a bit of a NE wind to liven things up on the surf but the wind today was a bit much. Using 8oz and that not even holding bottom. Got to be a bit like work casting heavy weights into the wind with long rods. Used fresh finger mullet without a bump all day. Had some action on some fresh caught spot. Lost a nice fish (probably a big blue) in the wash that bit through my leader. Had a nice bite on a spot head and Saw a guy pull in a nice 30+ inch drum this morning. Talked to some guys that said they have been getting big drum last couple nights but those fish are safe from me. Rain chased me off the beach this afternoon.

Going to try tomorrow first thing.
