It is still alright for a short vacation but the northern beach has become no place to try to live, big worry being disabled from a wreck.

I had just heard from somebody there this week that got a brand new Toyota RAV4 and somebody already rear ended the back of it in Nags Head.

Saturdays had become a big traffic jam and lately the traffic going to Duck has been backed up during the middle of the week with no wrecks.

Plenty of other things to pick from too like the high price of everything, salt damage "beach rot" and wind damage, noise, sirens, fireworks.

Fire is another worry because everything is so packed together and big commercial is ruining the nice residential, looked like a trash dump.

That big house in KDH that burned up could have turned out worst if it spread. It also had 42 people staying there, so were lucky this time.

And the cause will probably be something stupid they did by bringing fireworks, charcoal grill or portable fire pit because they do not care.

I'm grateful for the way things have worked out. Could be better for some to live nearby obx. They are still going crazy buying houses here.

I have some family that offered 20 thousand over asking price and lost it this week on the escalation clause on an offer substantially more.

He couldn't find out what was the offer on the house and not sure if they do that in Virginia. Anyway I'm proud to move up to being a tourist.

I would avoid summer pick fall probably best middle October to early November or late spring like May or early June before the schools finish.

More have been coming in the offseason started with the tourist bureau's google ads campaign for the offseason they seemed to have stopped it.

There is plenty of people at the beach year round for a business to survive just look at the traffic cams, trouble is with the business itself.
