Date: Sunday, 6-27-21, at 4:12 p.m.
0530 -1000 hrs. Calm to 8-10 E. Mares tails. No other fishermen out. Low tide - at 0530 hrs. Beach empty till 0915 hrs. Gorgeous day. Water clear. Waves 8 ft at outer bar. Nothing on hooks all morning cept various baits. Lost entire custom rig on retrieve 1st cast. No snag, just cut off. Asked son-in-law to watch for it. Sure nuff, he found it a few minutes ago on last trip into the water.
Another fisherman out 1100 - 1230 hrs. Nothing.
Surf condition continues to decline annually at house. 5 bars. No longer breaks in bars. Unable to throw bait beyond. Also dune at end of street (beach access) and alongside house just recently pushed up to 15 - 20 ft. Won't be many seniors making it to beach.
Yesterday afternoon...when you think you've seen "Visitors" do it all. Family brought pet bird to beach. Looked like cockateel.
Dinner for 4 last night = Top Dog. $75 for 4 + tax. Still take out only.
Most restaurants have raised prices considerably. Lucky to find anything under $20 cept $14 burgers. Real restaurant in Waves still requiring masks.
Avon Food Lion no longer stocks Krispy Cream donuts. :(:(.
