my dad was a bee keeper, so i know some about taking care of them. my grandad had many hives and would sell honey out of his house. when i was about 12 he had a lot that he kept them on. he would take me to lot in a 1957 chevy car and put 2 hives in back seat with only a rag in the entrance. took them home to put by his garden. i was scared to death. when he worked his bees he used a smoker and a bee hat, that was it. bet he was stung a million times.
