Corolla

I'm coming to Corolla the 2nd week of July staying on the sound. In the past we have always stayed at Pirates Cove and had lots of fun fishing from the dock. My 8 yr old girl had a blast catching spot,croaker, and a couple nice flounder, the crabbing was great also. What can I expect in the sound up by Corolla? Any input/suggestions are appreciated.
