Uh, oh..."Way Back" machine stirrin:

Back in the day in Whalehead we (this Capt and 2 sons) would catch 50+ morning and again at nite. Corolla Light was in its infancy. Same w/ Monteray Shores.

Recall a long pier in Corolla soundside. Think its maybe a B&B or watercraft rental now. Had steps to the water every 30 ft. or so. Crabbed there one morning and crabs actually ran up the strings to our hands. Craziest thing ever seen crabbin. We brought back over 50 that morning. Let em loose on kitchen floor before cookin to terrorize the females. Screams may still be echoin out there. Caught lots of green (American??)eels too in pyramid trap.

Big seafood sales on North Coast this coming week. Not bitin tho as even w/ sale $$ still too high for this fixed income Capt.

Unrelated. ER Dr. son will be next door to site of 1st Presidential debate. Advised him to stay put at end of shift till morning. Streets sure to be full of no-do-wells.
