I did not catch any small bluegills, three were I didn't know they got that big size and one of those I had to hand line.

I also caught two green sunfish and three hybrid green sunfish / bluegill and all those were big too. It was mostly bluegill.

The dam has been kind of neglected it's got trees growing on it and I'm seeing both cut and don't cut them on the internet.

Some are saying the roots will rot and might cause a leak, don't want to screw it up was told it's old like an area landmark.

I'd pick the last two weeks of October and first week of November, make an extended vacation out of it. Everything is open.

It's cheaper and cooler with less people than summer and the fishing crowd is here just reminds me of the Old Outer Banks.

Grab a Chicago dog and cheese fries from Capt'n Franks and your there. I wish the Sportsman and KH Pier Restaurants were here.
