Check out some of the new multi-braid stuff. 20-30 lb. is tiny diameter and casts well.I use light blue which refracts light with no leader. Simple but why fool fluorocarbon leaders when you are going to tie on a big butt rig or lure that looks like a small Christmas tree anyway. Have to use a polymer knot with braid. Might be the simplest and strongest knot in the book.Only problem with braided line is when you need to break it off you might have to drag whatever you're hung up on to you,or pull oneself to it. Got a short story about that.
