East or South Facing Beach?

Question for the locals and/or expert fisherman.

In the Fall (mid October) would you say that generally the East or South facing beaches provide better Fall Fishing?

I've been coming many years and pretty much stayed on the East Facing beaches and have done well, but didn't know if there is/would be an advantage on the Southern Beaches (Hatteras, Frisco).

As you can see, I'm already thinking about my next trip!! :)
