Some people don't catch anything, I think you made the best of it and at least you did catch something every day.

I think the big holes have to do with the fathers shooting fireworks and the kids playing war. If you spot a mound or sand castle at night don't walk near it.

The dog sh*t can be avoided most of the time by walking below the high tide line. Just make sure not to walk up into the high tide line as it floats and will pile up there.

Most of the houses are overpriced and are not selling, the houses that are half the average price sell quick.

The restaurants can vary year to year depending on the help. I've been going to Keepers Galley in Kitty Hawk, good food and no wait time.

I felt like the stupidity and lack of respect for others has been bad this summer. Just think "your at the beach" this helps deal with it.
