Used to be the Big Stripers showed up around thanksgiving. Now,the stripers usually show up here, in Delaware and New Jersey around Thanksgiving. They don't seem to go more south than the mouth of the Chesepeake before going out into deeper water. Occasionally I get a good report of stripers near the NC/VA line but that doesn't usually happen until late January to early February. If I was going in December, I would try around OI. Always hear of a few being picked up around then.
