You need to do a fall 3 weeks the last two weeks of October and first week of November, the best time and a lot cheaper than summer.
I was wondering what you have been doing lately, I stopped at Capt D's the fast food place for lunch and thought about you.
Their $5 flounder dinner was really good. It's not here it's in Chesapeake, Virginia on Battlefield Boulevard close to where I had to go.
My grandmother has to go to the eye doctor there to get her eyes checked had cataracts fixed and has macular degeneration from age.
She has to get shots in her eyes to fix the busted blood vessels don't have anything for any of that here and the place has a 2 month waiting list.
Keeps her from losing more of her eye sight.
Anyway the NC grown watermelons were in at the produce stands, somebody was selling them 2 for $5 out of the back of a truck.
I got one and it was the best I had this year but wasn't real sweet, I think it's been a bad year for them.
The collard fields looked good but were still small size plants.
Lowe's in Kill Devil Hills still has their seed racks out and I picked up some kale seeds to try this fall.
They had 3 different kinds of kale seeds Siberian, Red and White Russian.
I mulch them with pine needles and leaves good during the worst part of winter and they come back really nice in early spring.
