12-19 Sept. OF Salvo north.

Comin w/ Mrs. Capt and neighbors. May not get "all" the fish {:):)} this trip. Will be mainly "entertaining". Husband fishes but not "avid" as we on board here. Clinic time...as he mainly fishes (trolls) walleye. Just finished pickin/packin salt water gear for him.

1st have to do same for sister and hubby visiting here at the homestead from TN...and he doesn't fish!!

To make this legal post...3 weeks ago visited new pond w/ son. This Capt had tears 2x w/ 2 largest ever hooked in these parts. 1st broke line, 2nd lost to snag. No time to return since. But...as Fox Mulder said so often..."The Truth is Out There"...and this time 2 of em have this Capt's rigs dangling!!

Been sort of a lost summer. Dealin w/ health demon since June. Not life threatenin, just painful.

And for the "grin" of the day...Yes at this Capt's expense ... as always!! Retired buddy from DoD days calls w/ invite to breakfast. After says "open your trunk." Puts in 40 lbs of new, still in original packing, gear + 25 lbs sinkers. Wants to give more. Has been collectin for over 40 years. Has 2 rooms full to ceiling. Now havin fears it'll all be pitched after he's gone. This Capt places all in basement for sorting and storing. Now for the icing...week later he calls to say I may want to pitch the stuff as his place is heavily infested w/ bed bugs!! Being "hot" fumigated this week. May take 3 visits to get them all.

Hold on...have to scratch!!

And .... he called again 2 days ago to bring more over!! Says we can meet on deck so he won't bring bugs on his person into house.
