They look like the Amazon version of a big bluegill. Interesting link you posted below the picture I didn't know it was like that there. It looked like mostly snakeheads in the South Florida canals from what I've seen on fishing shows. At least winter helps out or they would probably be everywhere already like there. I never wanted anything toothy like a piranha because your going to stick your hand in the tank for something.

That's what I was thinking, maybe start off low budget with a big round plastic trash can or one of those thick clear storage containers and see how it goes then build something better.

If you happen to see it check out Tanked on tv, they build some cool looking custom fish tanks out of acrylic plastic.
