Winter Restaurant Rundown

Got one burning treated lumber in their fireplace somewhere across the bypass, it's been burning my eyes and throat, making me sneeze a lot when the wind is light and just right. Regular wood doesn't bother me. Somebody must be desperate.
Had some of your north coast weather at the beach, got down to 16 degrees and windy. The plumbers will be busy this spring. Kind of warm and rainy today with a nice sunset. I also noticed some mosquitoes survived and were out.
I can give you a restaurant rundown on some of the open ones.
Darrell's in Manteo, not too crowded was having a bunch of specials like chicken livers, flounder for a fish of the day.
Lone Cedar is open on the Nags Head Causeway with a big crowd.
Henry's on the north end of KDH is open most days except Sunday, not too crowded, good breakfast.
Hurricane Mo's in Kitty Hawk, not that crowded and has had good shrimp.
I've Got Your Crabs in Kitty Hawk has been popular this winter, good shrimp, oysters and clams.
Fast food pick would be Subway between Food Lion / Belks in KDH, been staying open late to 10pm and were running a special deal on meatball subs.
Collard heads were still available on the other side of the bridge before the big freeze and were cheap but might be the end of it.
Frog Island Seafood is open over there, another place to eat.
