I know there's no good reason to close an outside monument, the park service even has somebody working there keeping people out.

It's all for nothing when the republicans get total control later on down the road they will have their way anyway. They are already trying to defund obamacare, both should have worked together on it from the start.

How long is this going to go on for weeks, months, a year?

Looks like the park service isn't enforcing walking over to the beach.
