Glink,
There should still be Dolphin around during your stay here.
Last week we caught as close in as 6 miles from the Inlet.
This photo is of your catch on 7/3.
All our Dolphin are caught on light spinning tackle.
We also caught a bunch of 25 to 35 pound Almaco Jacks & Amberjacks livebaiting on a wreck 1/2 a mile from where we caught the Dolphin.
This catch was made 16 miles from the Inlet and roughly 10 miles off the beach
Here's a breakdown on how this particular trip goes
On the "BLUEWATER TROLLING/BOTTOMFISHING COMBO" trips we will be fishing for what ever is biting the best in the area that we are in.
The way this trip works is ...we start out pulling high speed baits for Wahoo and Dolphin all the way out to where we bottomfish and troll.We try to split the trip up and spend part of the time bottomfishing for Groupers,Tilefish,Triggerfish and Seabass and spend part of the time trolling for King Mackeral,Wahoo,and Dolphin and we troll the high speed Wahoo/Dolphin baits all the way back in.
"BOAT POLICY"...We fish for what ever is biting the best at the time of your trip taking weather and conditions into consideration.
