In the future if it is bad at the Ocean you can try your luck back at Bodie Island Lighthouse. There is a channel that runs through there that I sometimes catch some trout and have hooked a few small stripers. This area is protected a little from the wind. There is a path at the end of the parking loop. I've caught the trout at day break.
