well guys had a few wild days. just got power back after 3 days. it all started out as freezing rain. weather forecast said light freezing rain then warm up and all rain. well it didn't warm up. ice built up on trees and with ground so saturated they started dropping like crazy. had 2 trees drop on my new tundra. trees down everywhere. damage to my deck and gutter, could have been worse. all roads blocked with trees. there is so much limbs and tree tops down, it will take years to clean up. insurance people are coming tomorrow. could not go outside because of falling limbs and ice. then before the ice melted the wind got up and that was probably one of the worst things I've ever seen. we went to basement and watched big mature hardwood trees swaying in the wind with 1/2 inch ice on them. looked like a bomb went off. I wanted to tell RAC I have enough firewood for life. but best thing everyone is ok. I can get another truck and house fixed. been here over 30 years and never seen anything like this.
