I used to catch a few stripers around thanksgiving with the bite being hotter around the end of the year into February. The last number of years they really did't go past the mouth of the Chesapeake before going out beyond the three mile limit and moving south. Right now, I've read that the big schools are still off the Jersey Coast.

A friend of mine caught a 26" striper the first week of Nov. and I've seen a few posted on the TW's website so I'm hoping that things are turning around. I think there are some around but not in any numbers just yet.

I'd love to make a trip, if the fish were going to be around.
