I did get a dozen steamed blue crabs from the seafood market this past weekend. The crabs are expensive right now but meaty, felt like they had been eating sand.
Re: Food Lion, I like their Double Q brand canned pink salmon for salmon cakes. Give it a try, don't use white salmon it's not as good....
Salmon Cakes
1 can of pink salmon (remove small bones)
1 small (minced) onion
1 egg
2 tbsp. flour
2/3 (small) can croutons or 2 slices of bread (broken into small pieces)
4 tbsp. waterMix everything together in a bowl, make into 4" size cakes in the pan with a spoon and fry in small amount of cooking oil flipping once or twice until golden brown on both sides.
