Discovery Channel vs Megalodon

"Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives" was on last night and it's worth watching if the show comes on again. For those that missed it, the show starts off with a waterproof camera video found on the bottom at a boat wreck that was tore in half in South Africa. It's an offshore size charter boat being attacked and filmed by the people that were fishing on the boat. They didn't find any bodies.

The show had big shark fin pictures taken by different cameras, one attacking a whale, WWII photo, an underwater video of it swimming by a remote camera, a dead whale on the beach in Hawaii with it's tail bit off in one bite. A Coast Guard rescue video from Brazil of a whale size shark swimming by under somebody they were pulling up out of the water from a helicopter. They said the sharks were following the humpback whale migrations.

At the end of the show they tagged one near the boat wreck site using a giant chum slick and life like full size whale lure they built, also used sound recordings of a whale in distress. Basically had a whole lot of big sharks show up after dark then all the sharks disappeared at the same time and the divers got in their shark cages. It was kind of chaotic after that looked like a couple of real tall splashes at the whale which disappeared. They were trying to find and get all the divers out the water that were scrambling to swim back to the boat.

The lady got it with a harpoon that had a transmitter before she got knocked out of her shark cage. The transmitter tag was designed to go to 6,000 feet. The shark took a steep dive past that and it stopped working.
