That place should be good with a northeast wind or a current coming from the north. Cut bait will work try different size pieces and hooks, distances and check the bait often. The fish have been about 15 feet off the beach there. High tide, early morning or late afternoon will be the way to go.

It's a variety of summer fish. I expect the big fall spot might start showing up further north at Corolla around the middle of August along with some finger mullet in the surf.

The cobia are being caught on king rigs from the end of the piers.
