There's a lot of basic surf fishing stuff on there. I highly recommend reading the article there about reading the beach , or even googling it and reading what others have to say. The surf is very dynamic , especially at the Outer Banks where the sand shifts around with every storm.

Old standbys would be the inlets , bridges and piers. If there are fish around , they hang out around the structure these provide. Past that , surf fish will hang out around breaks in the sand bars , or between them.

This time of year , fishing can be hit or miss , and very dependent on the weather.
