The shallow water behind Pea Island is up to 60 degrees with some baitfish in close, seems to be nothing else. There's a crowd at this end of the beach this week. The restaurants have been full, traffic has been really bad at french fry alley, a lot of high schoolers are here for Easter break probably because of the new curfew crap going on at Virginia Beach.
As for GIMP you have to scale the size of the picture to what you want and then save a copy of the picture in .jpeg or .jpg format renamed. Zoom out at 100 percent. Look on Image on the menu bar at the top, Scale Image. I don't save the picture directly so I still have the original picture if I need it. When you build something using layers you have to save it in their format then merge or flatten them down into one layer and save a copy in the jpg format when it's finished.
Read the 4. Common Tasks on the link below. When you have the time in the III. Function Reference part, 14. Tools and 16. Menus would be enough to have an understanding of it.
You might be able to remove and reinstall what you have been using if it still exists somewhere as a download on the internet, sometimes that works. Once you get used to one it becomes easy.
