A friend of mine that worked for me at the time fished the banks during the 80's.When there "blitzing" you could catch one on a beer can.Didn't make a lure out of a beer can,but being me I fashioned one with a BIC lighter,screw eyes,treble hook on the back,(super glue was involved)lead weight on the front end to keep it down,and some kind of goofy loop knot to tie it on.OK mister catch one on a beer can,try this one.So help me,he brought back a photo with a big blue hanging off of the thing!His wife took the picture,and trust me she could not stretch the truth if her life was at stake.Talk about the good "ole" days! Wish I was surf fishing then. Rodney
