Oregon Inlet is a great marina, Teach's Lair down in Hatteras is another great one! There are half days or full day trips to the gulf stream. Pirates Cove is also close by Nags Head just Across the bridge before you cross over to Nags Head on left.

1700-1800 should be perfect amount. Including a tip for the First Mate *20% tip *when back at docks*
The new motion sickness pills Bonine, it's sold next to Dramamine and does not have the same side effects (Take two the night before the trip and one in the morning.)
*kids might need these*(April Targets!)
The yellowfins are usually rockin' in April, and with the water starting to warm up, it's possible to start seeing some of the other pelagics common this area, There are usually a few wahoos around, in fact once in a while we have a "flurry", and catch several fish in a day. An occasional dolphin (mahi) will be caught as well.
Often times in April, the kings get pretty thick, and we will drop down to some lighter tackle to catch them. They are smaller in the spring, usually 5 - 10 pounders, the best eating size!
Have fun! *Josh
