Hey Gyrene,

As of last week Friday.... Sound off Tri-Cities was best in last 10 years. Even better than June/July. Surf unfishable whole time so can't say whats up there. In 2 weeks, who knows?? Maybe try Fishin Hole for reports close to your arrival. But, take em w/ a grain of salt!!

(Note: pacemaker "still" tender after a week, from all the rod butt hits settin hooks in sound.)

Re: Beach driving permits. Heard Coquina Beach parking lot (north end) in Nags Head and next to visitor center by the Hatteras Light. 7 days a week 0800 - 1630 hrs.

Let us know how you do. If'n you strike out (hopefully not) post back and I'll give you the "mole crab chowder" recipe so you have somethin to eat:):)
