I'm sure everyone has their favorite. Mine is a Shimano stridex which I use 14lb test on It has a qick trigger which is great for lure casting. It also has a fighting drag so you don't have to fool with the knob. Wish I could tell you the rod, but it's so old the name is rubbed off. It's a one peice 7' I bought at TI's. If your gonna thow bait on a fish finder rig the Shimano bait runner series is my choice.
