August - what to expect?

Hey there,

Due to some unforseen circumstances, we needed to switch from our regular house in Corrolla earlier in the summer to a house in Duck in mid-August with handi-cap access. Never been to Duck and don't know what to expect regarding crowds, etc. as far as surf fishing goes, nor much about what's in the surf that time of year.

Any tips would be helpful.
