I only got seasick once. I will never forget it. I've been out on dozens of trips before and since, both calm and choppy seas, without an incident. This time the water was still as glass, and I was only a little hungover. Suddenly, during an interlude between spots, I began to feel a little nauseous. The nausea soon was the least of my concerns, as shortly I lost all sense of balance! Looking out over the water, I truly couldn't tell up from down or sideways, everything looked flat and unreal. It was the strangest feeling I've ever experienced. I literally crawled below decks. Half an hour or so later I was fine. Never had a problem since, but I know that seasickness can be truly debilitating. No suggested remedies, but some "Old Salts" have told me that this occasionally happens to even the most experienced sailors, without rhyme or reason.
